Yoga for the Seasons: Spring Ayurveda Tips

A Sunday Self-Care Experience with Karen Pinel, RYT200

Sunday, March 17, 2024 | 9-10:30am via Zoom & Recorded (replay available for 7 days)

☘️ Spring Wellness Wisdom: Dive deep into Ayurvedic principles tailored to the winter spring. Learn how to balance your doshas and align with nature's rhythms for radiant health.

☘️ Embrace Balance: Gain insights into Ayurvedic routines that promote balance and vitality. Explore yoga, meditation, and daily practices that help you navigate life's flux with grace.

The word "Ayurveda" derives from the Sanskrit words "ayur" (life) and "veda" (science or knowledge), so Ayurveda translates to the science of life. It's an ancient and  natural system of medicine, originating in India 5,000 years ago, which is based on the idea of balance in bodily systems and uses diet, herbal treatment, yogic breathing, and the cycles of nature.

As the science of life, Ayurveda teaches us that consistent daily practices that are aligned with our individual needs, as they vary from season to season, are the foundation of good health. With the spring solstice fast approaching, you can explore this ancient approach to health and prepare for the change of seasons.

In this Yoga for the Seasons:  Spring Ayurveda Tips class, you'll learn basic Ayurvedic principles on daily (dinacharya) and seasonal (ritucharya) routines to balance vata dosha and its qualities. Pranayama, meditation, and asana for the autumn season will help you mindfully plan your personal yoga practice as we transition to the colder months of the year. Join us on a transformative journey guided by ancient Ayurvedic principles, tailored to help you thrive during the spring season.

If you’re not available to take this journey to stillness live, register a take the class at your convenience. It’s available to you for 7 days.

Within each of us lies the vast universe of tranquility. Through the gentle practice of Yin Yoga and the healing journey of Yoga Nidra, we can awaken to the serenity that dwells within.

Yin Yoga offers a counter balance to our regular Hatha and flowing practice.  In Yin, we focus and commit to the stillness. Surrendering to the stillness creates acceptance and a calm mind. Once the mind calms, the entire system can reset into a healing state. Tensions in the mind and body release. We will close with an extended guided meditation, Yoga Nidra, in order to transform your practice and bring you to another level of healing and balance.
